The active ingredient in Kamagra tablets, sildenafil citrate, functions by preventing the phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) enzyme from acting in the penis’ erectile tissue. Cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), which relaxes smooth muscles and dilates blood vessels in the penis to enable increased blood flow and the development of erections during sexual stimulation, is increased as a result of this inhibition.
